Nauthiz -- Chapter One
The ground was cold and wet beneath Hanna's feet. His hands were like ice , fingers sticky on the trigger. Sweat rolled in beads down his forehead as he pressed himself against a wall, black flush against the stone. He breathed in, deeply, and then out, closing his eyes for a fraction of a second. With a shout, he launched himself around the corner, pulling the trigger several times. The shout became laughter as he realized no one was actually there.
